Default Ctr ecu

I am looking for the best type of tuning capability for my B16B. I know most of you know that the ECU code is PCT, but I can't find an engine management system for it. Thanks.

Best
Stand alone EMS = AEM - Haltech - Motech

Convert to OBD1
Cheapest, but still reliable. depending on the tuner
Chipped OBD1 USDM 92-95 Civic/Integra ECU = Hondata S300/200 - eCtune - Neptune RTP - Crome Pro - Uberdata

Available ECU's = PW0 - PR3 - PR4 - P06 - P08J - P28 - P30 - P61 - P72 - P74- P75

That page does help a lot. Thanks. Now I just have to figure which ECU to buy and where to scavange up a jumper harness. Which ECU is recommended by you guys? I have heard bad things about the P72 but neutral things about the chipped P28. This tuning business is a lot of decisions.

A p72 and p28 will function exactly the same except for the p72 can handle the use of a knock sensor and intake air butterflies if your motor needs these capabilities which most do not.

Well most of this has helped me make up my mind that I will be buying the p28 chipped. After all the motor is still stock and I have many more upgrades that I will be adding to the car. I am going for a build with Skunk2 valves, springs, retainers with the Stage 2 cams and cam gears and intake manifold. In the process of getting port and polish head right now but I am trying to increase the horsepower in everything that I install. Thanks for all of your help guys and when I get started I will let you all know.

What ECU is in your car right now? From my research the 92-96 Civic Ex came with a P28. Therefore you just saved yourself from having to buy an ECU. You just need to send your P28 to be chipped.

You have a point. I am not near the car due to me being deployed in Iraq, but I will have to find that out. I bought the car with the B16B already swapped in and what I am doing now is collecting parts for it. thanks again

OK so it may or may not have the P28 in it. I would wait until you get back from your tour to buy an ECU. Verify the one you have first.

Cheers
