crome tuning
i trying to figure out how to set the cold crank, i have a b16a 68mm tb, gsr cam and skunk2 im. i notice during cold start engine have a hard time to crank over and stay running, but if i press in the gas pedal a little and it start right up, and if i keep it on the gas pedal and left off after 10 sec engine stay running no problem. so i figure if i pressing in the gas, which open up the throttle and let more air in, which i need to lean out cold start? or does the tps actually send signal to it and tell it to add more fuel? i got it tuned on a good map, so i kinda worry start messing with any other settings. thx.
is it when its cold or just whenever you try to start it? if its cold adjust post fuel compensation...if its just whenever you try to start it and temp is irrelevant, you can adjust crank fuel compensation. this is in the adv tables.
what you're looking for is the Crank Fuel Compensation in the Advanced Tables.
It's IAT dependant.
also like jdm602 said, after the car is done cranking the Post Fuel Compensation table is used.
you may have to adjsut both tables slightly to work for you.
one other part that I can't stress enough, the injector battery offset table is just as important. When it's cold the battery is weaker which may be causing you to fall into a different column of the table...
