hi. I have this chip at least 2 years, the past weekend the car suddenly die.
When I try to start it again I notice a solid CEL and the car won't start. I burn
a new chip and problem solved. My question is, this happen sometimes or I have to worry about something going bad i.e. ECU, Harness.

definitely happened to me in the past. ive also had some files save improperly for whatever reason so they just run like crap out of nowhere. thats why i always rename them when i save so i always have a fallback

 

I had it happen but im guessing just a bad chip or maybe a open wire shorting it out

 

Moisture, heat and the chip itself could be a cheap chinese clone.
