Default wrong octal latch?

Im having trouble with my newly chipped ECU. It has a solid CEL. My willem burner says the chip is programmed right and the board is good. Only questionable component is the octal latch. These are what Im using, anything seam wrong?

i believe you need the 74hc373n not 74hc373a...

you may be able to find the data sheets on those chips to see what the difference is, but i only have ever used the n version and they all have worked for me.

ok then that should be right as long as you got the direction of the chip correct as well. and are all the solder joints good? what about the jumper wire? does the car run that you have it in? or does it run in limp mode or anything?

well to be honest I havent tried starting it. Its stored for winter but I know the board is good and all solder points seam to be good as well as the programming of the chip. The chip is soldered in the same direction all the other chips are. I dont know whats wrong for the life of me
