Default On the cheap

As I'm piecing this car back together after a blown transmission I have put together a decent turbo kit for it. Motor is a D16Z6 block with OEM Y8 pistons, Y8 head, Y8 intake manifold (guess that is pretty much a Y8 motor now?) I have a virgin P28 as well as a P06 that's supposedly been converted to run vtec and boost (I have only opened it up to verify that it's been chipped).

I've never taken a car to a tuner before, but I KNOW that's what needs to happen when I get this running again. I plan on running the P06, but I will run a basemap from Phearable for the short while before taking it in for a tune. Would there any benifit to be found by chipping the P28 and using it instead of the P06?

This will be a daily driver hoping to put down 180~200hp. What else do I need to buy before I go for a tune? It seems that ECTune+Ostritch is the big thing right now, but is there a less expensive way I can go about this without compromising reliabilty?

If the p06 was properly converted to vtec, there will be no difference between the p06 and p28's performance.

Reliability is generally found in tuning & a well put together vehicle (craftsmanship).
