Default Blew engine block

i was driving last thursday night and blew a whole in my block guessing a threw a rod? anyways im not sure what size block to get i have a 97 Civic LX 5 speed manual with a D16Y7 motor. i cant find anywhere on the web what size block to get and dont know a way to find out what size i have on or what size to get. i did find a used block that is a D15B7 block wit ha D16Y7 head will that work? i dont want to lose any power but i want to make sure i get the same type of one thats already on.

just get another D16Y7 then...

it's a 1.6L non VTEC engine. If you want something easy to swap in that has a bit more power and only requires adding VTEC to the harness get a 96-98 D16Y8 127hp vs 106hp from the Y7.

this should be in some sort of failed thread collection.

"i have a D16Y7 but i don't know what size block to get"

what exactly are you talking about 'size'?
