Hi, Ive recently done a swap from a b16 to a b18. Im using a basemap chip currently. Once the engine is up to temperature and the car is stationary at idle the revs drop and sometimes cuts out.
Ive calibrated the tps and ive swapped the idle control valve from the b16 as i know that works. Ive also wound the air screw out but has made no difference.

What can i do about this? My setup is pretty standard so surely a basemap would run it pretty well?

So, on a cold start it idles fine? Could be a few different things...

 

Like? Yes idles ok when cold.. I'm thinking maybe the timing on the dizzy is off..

 

I fixed this this morning.

I swapped the injectors and regulator from the old b16 just to rule them out and I also advanced the ignition 2deg.

Idles fine now and goes much better.

People say all b series injectors are the same but there was clear differences between them. The tips on the b18 ones were yellow and on the b16 they were brown and a different shape.

Gonna be hard not to floor it now before getting it mapped!
