I have an aem series1 ecu I got it to connect with a very old laptop but will not

with a new laptop. I tried to update the drivers but windows says everything is up to date. I tried to down load some r232 drivers but still doesnt work.
I'm using those serial to usb adapter and a basic usb cable.

in aem pro I'm trying to rescale the map sensor in setup, sensors, map, options. I figured out all the settings but can not input load scalar.
It will always revert back to "32.77"
