AEM Coil Output ?
I am having issues with my AEM ECU or car....Car been set up and running great for years, then one day dies on me cruising down the street. I get it home find out there is no spark. After trouble shooting the no spark issue it looks like it's ecu related. I swap my factory ECU in and it starts right up. AEM Series 1 OBDIIa won't send output to ignition. Called AEM they suggested turning on Coil Output 2 and moving my ECU wire from A20, to B7 which is the coil 2 output. After moving the wire and tuning on coil 2 in AEMPro still no ignition signal. Am I am at a loss and need suggestions. What does AEM look for that the stock ECU doesn't?? I did notice in the AEM documentation is said pin A20 was coil output and plug and play, the B7 coil 2 output isn't plug and play. Maybe I am missing a setting somewhere. I checked the settings phasing and it's a set parameter for all coils because can't choose a coil. I ran the dwell wizard still same results, not ignition from AEM ECU??
I heard AEM will check and repair the ECU for a cost. I just want to check everything before trying to send it in. AEM offered up some different tests for me this afternoon so when I get home I will try them.
awsome!! hopefully it works... i was alil weary of sending in such an old ecu design and paying to get it looked at and ended up getting an up to date ecu system.. if you can get it to work again than helllls yea
