99 prelude
I know I am pretty limited here with tuning and retaining obd-II readiness codes. I need to be able to pass inspection and dont want to have to shuffle parts around. Basically what I am asking is there any tuning options for a boosted application. I want power and relilability with the tune and really thinkg aem ems is really my only option, am I wrong?
The S300 V3 has CANBUS support. I haven't personally used it yet, but in theory this option should provide the communication required to pass OBD2 inspection, which I'm pretty sure is exactly the reason they added the feature.
Alternatively, I have spliced in a zombie OBD2 ECU for inspection while using the OBD1 ECU to operate the engine, but it's a royal pain in the *** and no longer necessary.
Otherwise you could always reinstall the OBD2 ECU, remove your wastegate spring and pop the stock injectors on. Often times that's all you need to pass.

well thanks for the heads up on ems, I was thinking it says off road like so many things but didnt tell on itself(appears stock) to the testing computer. Also thanks for the quick responses, I was hoping that there would be some great options. I am not crazy about swapping stuff for inspection, so I guess I will either stay stockish or piggyback. Emanage ultimate be the best option? I have used safc-II on a boosted 240sx and it was cool, however I dont really care for the way they adjust for fuel by messing with timing. Are all piggy backs the same in that aspect?
I like the AEM F/IC for boosted engines. The application is a little easier, if you're planning on tuning it yourself. But the eManage Ultimate does have better features.
Dollar for dollar, Apexi makes the worst tuning systems. I can't say I've ever been satisfied tuning anything Apexi.
I would still encourage you to consider the S300 V3 if you're boosting a lude. Especially if it's a stock H22. Precision with that delicate of an engine is a worthwhile investment, and it does support OBD2 communication.

S3000 would be possible to make a boosted 99 legal 100%of the time? No need to remove parts for inspection(i know visual will be not stock) but as far as CEL and readiness codes the s300 can support? Is there any threads that yall know of on this process so I can decide if it is for me?
