Just got a 98 LX and the oil in it is really black i was going to change the oiland also put some gunk to clean the engine any insight on what i should do to clean the engine out and what brand of oil and oil filter should i use K&N...Mobile...

High mileage 5-30 oil? what brand has been useful to you guys out there?

I would change the oil with some cheap 5w30 go 1k miles change it again with a good 5w30 and go 5k on it. done deal.
