i have a 93 del sol with a d15b7 in it i just basically rebuilt the motor. new rings bearings an gaskets in the whole motor. put new valves an valve seals. new plugs wires an plugs, wont start? getting spark an gas an the timing is in checked it 12 times but still nothing. any one help or any advise?

 

Was the motor running before you rebuilt it?

 

You need:
1. Spark
2. Fuel
3. Compression

(Check the compression to make sure there isn't an issue)

Also check the codes if the check engine light is on.

Check the firing order too.

 

Was running yes. Two cylinders where done thou. An it gets spark an fire haven't checked compression going too, I heard that I should hold the key over an let it crank up to five mins to build compression back up in the motor any truth to that? An I tried the check engine light but I couldn get it to work.

 

first thing i usually check is compression. so check that. and how did you check your timing? did you set it to 16 degrees? did you mean spark and fuel?

no you dont have to "build compression".

you may just need to adjust the timing belt.
