Default 2step?

Okay guys first off, im new to this and just herd about it, and i was wondering exactly what is a 2step? and what dose to help with? i heard that when you have one you can do full throttle launches with it only being at the certen rpm you want it to be? is that right?

it is just a rev limiter that is only there during certain conditions that vary by setup.. clutch switch, vehicle speed, etc. you use it to launch from.

it helps for drag racing as it is one less thing to concentrate on when trying to get off the line in due time.

you can set it at any RPM via mph threshold, clutch input, Throttle position..etc

MSD makes a 2-step..that may be the cheapest way to go..unless you do a chipped ecu setup like crome or sumthin like that...

im just wondering but is that the only resoan why people are chiping there ecus now cause they just want l/c.
