I bought a complete short block a couple of weeks ago and one the rod had spun a bearing. All of the other rods journals looked fine but i wanted someone else opinion just to be sure. Is this journal fine? The other one look about this. I also cant feel any scratches or imperfections with my nail

 

It looks ok to me. I would just take some red scotchbrite and very lightly scuff up the housing bore with the rod cap torqued in place. Just enough to clean it up a little but not remove any material.
More importantly, is the bore perfectly round with the bearing installed? (precision measuring required).
The journals are on the crank btw.
