oil pump leaking

Icon5 oil pump leaking

so when rebuilding the motor we couldnt find a oil pump gasket so we used RTV. it now PUKES oil when i start it. anyone know what kind of gasket to use? is there a gasket at all? i would attach video but its in a weird format. if you want to see the video i could email or text to ya.

sorry- 1997 honda del sol SI 1.6L (d16y8) oil pump leaks out of top right corner. photo of the part im talking about for reference

If your oil pump is leaking between the backside of the pump and the block, then the O-Ring pictured in the top left corner of the photo you provided above is missing and wasn't installed between the oil pump and the block. The factory Honda part number is: 91308-P3R-T01.
You will have to remove the oil pump and install the proper O-Ring.

ok. we never tightened the oil pump. rookie move it was hand tightened. also never installed the o ring so thank you. any gasket between the pump and block? i had it metal on metal as it looks like it dosent require gasket.

I believe it requires liquid gasket, maybe high temperature. Maybe someone else will confirm.
