Default Head gasket size

soo I bought a built b16 off my buddy and I’m redoing the head and need a headgasket. I’m not sure of the bore size and am stuck on what size gasket to get. I was told there are 81mm arias pistons in it. I went to measure the bore size on the old gasket with a caliper but I keeping getting weird number like 75mm and no where even near stock size. Am I measuring right? What should I do.

A stock b16 OEM head asket. This is a no-brainer

OEM Honda, the factory head gasket is good to 82mm bore.

This is probably a stupid question considering how difficult it is to confuse the two engines, but you are SURE you have a B16 and not a D16, correct? It is DOHC and not SOHC?

I only ask because the D16 has a 75mm bore diameter.

I'm assuming the same holds true for D-series engines as well? OEM gasket is good up to 76mm bore?

I would stick with OEM, if you are going up in size GE is a good choice
