Would love to hear of a reputable rebuilder in my area. It's getting to the point where I can't find a decent 6th gen Civic for sale that isn't riddled with problems, regardless of price point. Seeping head gaskets, poor compression, and so on. I'm thinking about just buying a cheapo EX Sedan with obvious engine problems and using the extra cash to have the motor rebuilt.

I don't want to go the "Japanese Engine" route. I want to know that the ************ has new pistons, rings and bearings and that the clearances have been set up properly. I don't want one of these supposedly rebuilt engines with a guarantee that they'll give you as many fucked up engines that you want to install until you go away and stop bothering them. You know what I mean? I just want an honest engine rebuilder to build a stock d16y8 for me.
