Is this a broken piston skirt?

Default Is this a broken piston skirt?

I pulled the pan off my b16a2 and found i had pistons and rods and noticed a chunk of piston or bearing i think in my oil pickup i was wondering can you guys identify what exactly it is

That does look like a piston skirt with the why it is machined.

Get better pictures of the skirts.

Maybe something left over from the last build.

i found out the piston in cylinder #1 is indeed a broken skirt what i need to rehone and add new pistons?

Step 1 is to pull the engine apart and inspect to find out why the skirt broke off, and if there is other damage. If you're lucky you can get away with just having to buy 1 new piston and honing the cylinder, but piston skirts don't just fall off on their own, so i wouldn't plan for that.

Was it knocking a bunch?

Why did you drop the pan, noise?

Was the engine recently rebuilt?
