Default 2003 Pilot AC Compressor Clutch help

lately I've been hearing a knocking coming from the passenger side of the engine bay, see the video above. Im pretty sure I have it narrowed down to the AC compressor pully because it starts wobbling whenever I can hear the knocking sound. im pretty sure I can fix the issue by replacing the AC compressor clutch. the ac already doesn't work the only thing that worries me is the noise, and I would rather not replace the clutch if I don't have to. If I don't fix this will it lead to a catastrophic failure in the future, or is it just an annoying noise that I have to deal with?

The bearing under that pulley is junk. You might get lucky and not have damage to the snout of the compressor and can just replace the bearing. Otherwise it is a whole new compressor.

the ac compressor is already seized, so I'm already without AC, my only concern is will it cause damage to the rest of the engine if I dont do anything?

Eventually that pulley is going to do something stupid and cause the accessory belt to come off potentially causing damage to other accessories on the belt. But probably the biggest issue is when it comes off you will no longer have power steering assist.

Fire is also a real concern. No bearing means metal on metal and a lot of heat build up.

A bypass pulley might be a good option for you. Cheaper than the bearing on the compressor.

Something like this.

All you need is a new bearing or clutch pulley which you can get from a clutch set. You can get these dirt cheap off ebay. Just make sure the clutch air gap is within spec by using the right amount of shims which should come in the kit.. You will just need a 3 arm puller to get the old clutch pulley off after zipping off that bolt on the end. Nothing internally should be bad unless you keep running it and seizes.
