There are some fast corners at Road Atlanta.

That made me laugh. Sounds like Chino, but with horse poo instead of cow poo.

Isn't Evergreen Speedway your home turf Jeremy? I think you should rent one of the Hornets from a local and drift that. Where's that pic with you and the "speedway trophy girlz" anyway?
PS. That's the Dornbecker race weekend at PIR. Are you done for the year? Looks like I just bought a new motor, so I might be done also. I'll see if I can squeeze in the Dornbecker race for my last GP entry though.

Drifting reminds me of the first time I saw guys showing off on jet-skies. At first it was "Wow, that's really cool", to "okay, that's pretty cool too, but you did that same move a minute ago", and finally to, "it's the same stuff over and over - this is getting boring."
This took about 3 minutes.
Oddly, real road racing doesn't make me feel the same way.
And I agree on the timed vs. opinion scoring thing. How do you do well at something where scoring is arbitrary? I guess you need awesome spiky hair and really big pants to make points with the right crowd...
It's just like skateboarding, where attitude and appearance is 2/3 the equation.

Drift Fest is working with NW Harvest to help hunger relief here in the NW. Anyone that brings in 2 items from the list below will receive $5 off gate admission. That means instead of $20 at the door you pay only $15 with two items from the list below. This offer is not good for those who purchase tickets in advance for $10 @ http://www.xpressentry.com
We will have donation boxes also available if you are not interested in attending this event but would just like to donate. After the event I am taking all contributions to the downtown wherehouse. Don't miss this opportunity to help out other NW families.
Northwest Harvest can use any non-perishable food or monetary donations. We do buy rice & beans in bulk, so we encourage you to donate other items.
