I just bought a 1995 mustang GT vert for $1800 and the top doesnt even leak. It'll make a great drift machine as long as I dont flip it haha.

3rd Gen F-body or any cheap V8 mustang you can get your hands on, tons of torque, super cheap to buy and maintain, and they are a great base car to start modifying once you get better.
