Have you tried to build a fast car out of your own pocket. Some thing that will run below 8 seconds takes a ton of money. (Pro Classes)
Give credit where its do. These guys put there heart and sole into these cars.

when the cars we build cost as much as some peoples homes, its no wonder they take a few years to build people pay off their homes in years, not months, or days. . sure we could slap a bunch of **** together and call it a car. but doing it right the 1st time is a much better idea.

Unless you have $200,000-$300,000 burning a hole in your pocket, you can't really comment on how long it takes for a new Pro car to come out. They built this car completely in-house to save some money, and they did it in a relatively short time. I bow down to that level of commitment. My car has been slowly re-assembled over 2.5 years, andI'm still not done yet.

Re: XtremeRaceCars Twin Turbo 68 Camaro (NativeSon)
I thought i was doing pretty good actually. I have been basically building the entire car myself with a little help here and there from my father. I started the day after christmas. so it's been about 5 monthes on and off, i don;t think i have worked on it for a straight week yet, just touching on it in between customer cars.
I have about 200 in the car and it's about 3/4 done. I can tell you the car has the absoulte best parts money can buy.

Re: (XtremeRaceCars)
It's looking like an outstanding build.
Do you have both fuel and IC water up front? Hope that's not too much weight in front of the tires.

We run most all the Pro mod, top sportsman, 10.5 and import rwd cars around 53% front and 47% rear.
The car is about 50.5% 49.5 right now with no fluids & no ballast.
Something interesting to think about: Most twin turbo cars carry the turbos at the very front of the car. These 55R's are somewhere around 65 70lbs each. The tanks in the front are 4.5 gallons. Water weighs around 8.3 lbs a gallon and fuel can varry from 5.5 to about 6.5 per gallon consider that plus the weight of the tanks i built which are around 3 - 4lbs each it is considerable less nose heavy than most twin turbo front mounted cars.
I will however say this, it does look very nose heavy I treid to keep all the very heavy stuff as low and centralized as possible so. The CG is very low on the car and we are pretty happy with the overall weight basis thus far.

That all makes sense to me now, and you are certainly more knowledgeable with a Pro Mod chassis than I am. I'm more used to seeing 10.5, and outlaw street cars that have much less front overhang than a PM chassis. Your setup just "looks" like it has a ton of stuff hanging way far off the front.
Now get this beast out to the track!

Re: (XPRORWDTECH)
It is a 526 just like a blower car. I built it that way even thought the rule is 650ci max because i already sense a rule change. Just pretty confidant we will upset some people.
A CHEMI is a BBC with a custom Chevy hemispherical head. I standard BBC chevy head is called a wedge and has the intake and exhaust valve next to each other rather than in line with the respective ports.
