Default window net question

Does anybody know the exact requirements for window nets, specifically IHRA tracks?

I have a 10pt cage in the car and a window net setup facing the outside of the bar (door side). I've been to the track a few times this year and the previous owner used it two years ago with no problem but all of a sudden last time I went they said the net setup needs to be on the inside of the bar which is rather difficult considering the sparco seat i have sticks over top of the bar. Anybody else have issues like this?

The window net must be on the inside of the bar.

The theory is that if the body is completely ground away and all the is left is the roll cage, the window next needs to still be intact. That is how it was explained to me by a NHRA tech official. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the answers guys. I don't know how it's going to get done with the seat I have but I'll take it to the shop to have a look see.

If the seat sit over the top of the bar you may have issues to start with. If you go with an aluminum seat it will probably weigh a little less and fit a little better. Good luck everything.

On my cage the bottom mount is on top of the bar using 2 tabs and the top mount on the inside with a seatbelt buckle as a means of attachment.

my buckle is pretty much inline with the bars, more to the outside then center though. Ive ben teched by NHRA sport Compact tech people, NDRA, and some ******* tech guys at the atlanta drag way and never really been bothered about it. theres really no way you could crash the car and it rub all the sheet metal away where theres just a roll cage showing. Not unless you are going 300 mph sliding down the track on its side in some miracle accident. Im going to redo it to make sure its within the cage for next year as im getting Kirkey seats. I know what you are talking about with the seat hanging out.

Sorry to bring this up again, but does anybody have pics of how they did their lower tabs? I found the upper tab I need on g-force and looked elsewhere for the lower tabs but can't find anything.
They don't look like they were fabricated so I'm guessing they were bought from somewhere but I have no idea. Or is there a kit you can buy from somewhere that doesn't require lower tabs like redboost10 has above?

mine is basically a tube through the net and welded under the bar if that makes sense.

mine is like Mikeys but on the top of the tube.

a small version of this tab would work fine. the size bolt in there i belive is a 10-32. (holding the lower window net tube to the tab/cage)
