why does this happen when????
I have a full race crx (N/A) and when I engage the clutch pedal and put it in 1st gear and go into my two-step or rev the motor past 6500 or so, the car will start jerking forward. I have a clutchspecialites setup and I have adjusted the cable several times in both directions. I was wondering if someone could give me some advice on what to do.( I know I need a better clutch) and I also have line lock on the rear tires.. thanks..
no it doesn't grind at all. I was thinking that the clearence between the disk and flywheel is too close or the flywheel is aluimiun and is vibrating at the high rpm's..
the first time that the car was moving. the clutch cable was loose and I tighten it,but now it's tight and it is now doing it again..

is it a new clutch cable? also the inertia of the motor spinning forward so fast tends to pull the car forward. Happened to us so now I use the staging brake on the line.

hey adam, it is a new clutch and cable, it's not just a moving forward but a jerking motion... I do have the staging brake but my rear brakes don't seem to be that strong to hold the car, but I will try again. plus I have line-lock on the rear, but I thought I would put the line-lock on the front (maybe).. opinions...

Its either 2 things. One is the company make have set the folcrum point out to much to get better clamp load which makes it engage to far to the floor. It works ok with hydo trans but for us cable trans guys it sucks. Maybe ask the clutch company about whats going on because thats who needs to adress it. Could be faulty too. If you just want to deal with it...the tighter you pull the cable, the less it will engage on you...so pull it taught enough where it doesnt do that but also that its not riding the clutch cause it will slip and wear out real fast. If you can keep the car staged, I wouldnt worry about it cause pre-loading is a good thing anyways and it will probably just help your r/t as well
I had the same prob. The disk was not siding on the trans. spline freely. I wore out the center of the disk and it was locking on the splines.
No offense dude but " I have a clutchspecialites setup " thats your problem right there. I WILL NEVER touch a clutch specialties clutch in my life. Several freinds have had horiable experiances with their products. ACT or Clutchmasters all the way.
