Re: Whos running in street fwd and what are some of the times to be good in this class? (eddiecut)
I was running 11.30's to 11.20's all day with my old turbo setup and 22*8*15 slicks last season, I was only pulling 1.9 60 foot times so I should hit my first 10 this year with better traction and 135mph trap speeds.
This was full interior but I didn't have a cage, The track officials did like me very much

the fastest car so far is jason hunts car. 9.80's. my old car got down to 10.40's. theres probably 5 others on the east coast running 10.50-10.90. next year those numbers will double in my opinion. i'd say you'll see the cutoff at 10.90 or quicker in an 8 car field by the end of next season. on the east coast anyway.

i think you're gonna need to run 10's on east or west coast to win it.

Good deals on cages , depends on local, but you get what you pay for so dont try to save too much, a good cage can help how the car handles track abuse, not to mention helps the car hook.I agree with Karl, I might get slammed but I think east coast has faster consentration of sport fwd cars, but who ever gets there car's ready earliest, are gonna have the best chance of winning.as soon as may rolls around most people will be ready to play, thats why I want to be ready yesterday

Were you running a Full Exhaust, and did your car weigh no less than 2300lbs, which is what the Sport FWD Class requires?

no, no exhaust and 25" slicks......but with a custom 3" exhaust or larger and 24.5" slicks, he would have still ran 9's and will next year......only in a coupe.
exhaust is maybe good for a 10th. maybe. thats it.

My guess is almost all events next year will be won with a 10.25 or faster. Unless someone breaks or misses a light, which is where I hope to shine!

I am hoping to join the 10 sec club real soon. Have most of the stuff I need and with Jason Hunt's assistance (it helps being buddies with the fastest out there) the sky is the limit. Jinxproof...what are your plans for next year?

well, I ran mid 11's with my old setup. My new setup should be done within a couple of weeks. I'm hoping to hit some 10 second passes with the stock ecu.

Karl , will fill specifics, but his was stock block crower, and je, head was stock I think with upgarded valve train. Mine was Golden eagle sleeved b20, crower, je, stock head ferrea valve train. Tied together with arp's and all new oe components.

I have a question about the B20...If I have a built B18B head domed to 84.5 would I be better off with a B20 block or B18B and sleeve and bore to 84.5......from what I understand, the B20 is the same as a B18B, just bigger....will the head work?
