Im running no particular sanct body, but the class rules are for a TRUE 10.5 tire but I may be able to get them to allow me to run a smaller slick. 10.5 is a bit wide for the car Im using but still waiting on a final ruling.

I will most likely just build the car strong as I can internals wise, and do an engine swap later then add a turbo. I want to build it up as I go, and do not have to have it done by this feb, but to get in on a points series I need to start at the first of the season. I can pass to another year and take 1 year to build it fast enough to get in that series. Its a $50,000 payout for the points series on a red neck dragstrip.

I will keep this post updated to whether I can run less than a 10.5 tire.

Are you really dumb to think that a 6.0 is going to pull you in any 10.5 class? I run some 10.5/DR races, and you will get laughed off the track with a 6.0 average. I have a 92 Mustang LX, 391" SBF with twin 76mm turbos backed by a powerglide. Please, please, please tell me where this points series is that will pay you 50 grand to win with a barely 6.0 car. My car will go consistent 5.6's @ 130 on low boost and the 275/60/15 drag radials. 5.30's @ 136 on more boost and a 28x10.5 slick, I can still crank up more boost and/or move to a 28x10.5W or a 29.5x10.5 tire if I want to go even faster. And I'm not even competitive for any 50K big money race. Give your head a shake.
