Where to get sleeves ?
I can get Dartons installed for a decent price considering the cost of them. These are the Pro sleeves. Im tired of trying to push them because there is the never ending debate of who's is better, who has dropped, who's has impregnated the next door neighbors daughter .
We do our sleeves in a CNC machine...no one else installs their Dartons sleeves with one. If you interested and have the money to spend then give a call. Prices are +1050 installed plus any other machine work you need/want.

well, here's an odd question for ya'all.
Let's persay an engine has been resleeved by JG. Can you now, still put in sleeves from any other company, i have no info on JG sleeves so i'm trying to find out if their process limits you to only use their sleeves.

There you go! OK you heard that JG was junk but have you had personal experience with them? You and many others have made comments in the past about how great a certain company is and don't believe the hype on sleeves dropping. Ahem I have had personal experience with mine dropping and I'd pay anyone on here to find fault in mine and my machinist's install. #1 and #4 were even with deck and #2 and #3 were .0015 above def out of spec when before the install all were even and above the deck. So if your gonna say don't believe all the stories about one company you should probably do the same with other companies. I am not flaming you or attacking you trust me but don't be a hypocrit.
Seriously not attacking just stating facts.

Did you read what i wrote?? I said I saw a set of JG sleeves on an SI at south florida performance shift left to right. That means i saw them with my own eyes. They are junk straightwall sleeves. The quality of the sleeve itself is garbage. not to mention that the machine work looks like ****. I have also seen pictures on the net of the machine work.It looked like they were installed with a butter knife and flathead. I also just got PM from a respected shop that agreed 100% with me on Jg sleeves. he had a several sets that werent even installed straight. they were diagonal. SO to answer your question I have seen 1st hand Jg sleeves are ****. I have never seen yet 1st hand any GE sleeves with problems. i have 2 GE blocks we are building right now and I will post regardless of whether they come out good or bad.because if they both drop or shift I wont use GE ever again either. Sleeves are not a part that anyone can afford to have a mistake made on. they arent bolt on and they cause a ton of headache when the f*ck up.
By the way I have a set of GE sleeves in my block that belonged to a customer of mine before I got them. the car had 2 years of 400+whp on them . I have been running 500+ hp for 6 months on them and I will guarantee you I have made more street passes on them in 6 months then any car that ran entire year of events. I ran 3 days a week 5-10 passes at 26psi of boost for 6 months straight. not too mention over 150+ dyno pulls. not one single problem!! thats my first hand experience with GE. GE has been
for me!!!

We've got mine and 2 others local bad, that's my personal experience. Me and Vince have talked and gotten things straightened out to a point. I'm not here to bash them or anyone but I have had first hand expereince and so have 2 others local, I know of a couple BIG shops have had several problems also. One in Cali and one in Utah check some other boards not everyone has gone public about it but tried to get it taken care of , TRUST me I did at first also but eventually my friend and engine builder was FED UP and dropped the ball he hated not being able to say anything and not letting people know that they are not PERFECT or Unsinkable. Good luck on all your blocks I hope that the new process works and noone has any problems at all, I've been without my Si now since late October and it will be up up within this next month, redid a few things while I had apart Pauter rods and diff pistons and some prototype things so it could be a blessing in disguise but EXPENSIVE for me.
Good luck Mike and I misred the post that you had seen a JG blcok sorry but there are alot of people out there that have had no probs with thee JG blocks too soooo.... I believe everyone will jump the bandwagons I did as well when I bought my GE block because I had never heard of one not one problem until mine and 2 friends had problems and have had Many IMs sent to me from otehr people from Florida to NJ to CA. I believe everyone is entitled to mistakes and they will happen just own up ADMIT to it and fix it. Peace

I'm surprised nobody answered you earlier. I think I speak for almost everyone on this. the JG sleeves are one of the worst sleeves ever. They shift, they drop, they split. do a search on JG sleeves or JG in general on here. Nobody has spoken of JG in a while on here so it may be in the archives. Every single post I ever read about the Jg sleeves was a nightmare. I saw a set shift left to right at SFP on a civic si.

do not get golden eagle sleeves....the sleeve tends to drop ....alot....go with RS sleeves...it might take a little while but they are good in the long run
Go to RS
this has nothing to do with sleeves or anything, im just curious allmotormadness, why do u have a pic of jarrod silvers' motor up here. and your repping IB at the same time?
The motor in his avatar sure looks like the test motors on the JG website...
if that is Jarrods motor, it is his old one... too see pics of his new motor, check urbanracer.com
