Wheelie bars
Pete,
Sure he is a fabrication guy at Ken's....
BUT not alot of folks here know that Ken IS ALSO Kerry's father...of course that wouldn't matter now would it?
Personally I work for neither nor have anything to gain and I have seen both Frank's and Ken's traction bars and I would have to go with Frank all the way. There are subtle differences that Frank adds that are not on Ken's nor other bars (unfortunately).

in the latest Performance Auto and Sound, they did an install on the IAC drag car, with ENJO's new wheelie bar kit, it looks fairly simpe to install. no price listed, but it looks like a nice peice.

I would think this set up would work well, only for us guys running a solid rear axle. Cause the car would prob "Squat evenly". Or if you had indepentent rear sus, it might unbalance the rear of the car. my 2 cents... anyone else?

Good to hear, as I just got a solid rear axle. I do remember Erick's coupe having indy rear suspension and having the single tripod wheelie on it.

other than the lighter weight of the single wheel unit, i cant find a reason to choose one over the other

i thought us MD guys would stick together on this but i guess you thought differently. An independent rear suspention would permit the left or right rear wheels to move in different directions at the same time. How ever a solid rear axle would limit/hinder this. both the left and right sides would want to respond in the same manner , both up or both squat.
If rules let me i would do a solid axle in my car. Butt if you think about it a solid axle will only change the camper of the wheel that does not hit the bump, if the car leaves the line and one side wants to dip more than the other a bar inbetwen 2 wheels is not going to help compensate. You will still need to make other changes to preven this and would noy matter if it was independent or solid.
My 2 cents
