Rear Bumper Diffusers?
I will be soon getting my Ichibahn diffuser. How hard or easy are they to install? What will I need to do it? Have you noticed better ET's because of it? Post some pics of yours

Re: Rear Bumper Diffusers? (b19coupe)
you should just take your whole bumper off the next time you are at the track. if that doesnt lower your times then a rear diffuser sure wont. not flaming im just saying that would be a good test and will even be exagerated b/c of weight.
not sure your time would be lower though

Re: Rear Bumper Diffusers? (NOSpeed97)
i think they look like rice crap... i dont care how much lower your time would be... but it cant be that much.. there are lots of other thing that would build up drag like the hood front bumper etc.. i think the only cars that should hasve it are prue drag cars.. winning money.. and they have one piece front end also... but hey.. it is your car

yeh, imo you should DEFINETELY not have that stuff, unless you have a really really really fast car.
if you have a b16 swap in your coupe.. or something.. then your definetely just wasitng your bumper

Re: (lilredhatch)
Go to homedepot...4" hole saw...drill a couple of holes into your rear bumper...but make sure it reaches the very bottom of your bumper...(where the bottom curve starts to form) that way...air can escape the bumper faster instead of draggin through 2-3 inches of plastic and then releasing.
$20 hole saw
$10 hole saw key crap
and your drill...

I don't think I was being harsh. I gave you my opinion. If you ask me, its a waste of time to cut up your bumper for a gain of .00000001 in the 1/4 mile. Yipty. The cars I have seen with that **** around here still couldn't break 15's if they had to. Its just a bullshit rice mod. Period.
You going to cut holes in the body fo the car next for weight reduction? Hell, remove the windshield and all the other glass so the air just blows right through. Your car will cut like a knife through the night as you tear off another blistering pass.

but the diffuser HAS to help with hittin MaD3RdGeArVtEk, y0
and i think we can safely call these diffusers SPEED HOLES as Homer Simpson would say

The only thing I see it helping with is getting domestic owners to laugh at imports even more. Even some of the import owners have to laugh at that thing. If thats what you are looking for then fine, get one.

Re: (rewsnaeht)
Diffusers work. Not really debatable. Proven. Worth it on a 14-15 second car? Probably not. Once you reach a certain level, though, every tenth counts. Looking to go 11's by June; I did not put it on my car cause it's pretty.
