wheelie bar rules ?
65inches max from the rear bumper (nhra) and a minimum of 1/2inch of the ground
Btw who cares about the 298whp no v-tec, how mutch did you pull, with that mph it must be around 500whp.

I checked my sources and can't find a 1/2 inch clearance rule in NHRA. Rulebook says "wheelie bar wheels must spin free at the starting line. Any preload prohibited."
Every so often somone will walk to the back of the car when it's prestaged, and spin the wheelie bar wheel(s) with their foot. If it drags on the pavement, a call is made to the scales to notify the team to raise the bars or their next run will be disqualifed. Or if the bars are visibly preloaded, the same call is made.

Purchase a set from Kencustomchassis.com, they make amazing wheelie bars. There is quite a bit to making the correct wheelie bar. I've seen bars which don't do anything but bend, and then I've seen bars which really seem like they work.
We purchased our bars for the Vibrant CRX from Ken's and they work great.. We have the single wheel setup..

we only fix the problem the next day at the track.
we didn`t do a pull with vtec working on the dyno friday.
so 65 inch from the rear bumper and no preload.
thx

Does anyone know if the measurement is 60 inches (NDRA Pro-4cyl) measured from the centerline of the wheeliebar wheel, or is it overall length?
Also, what about cars with aftermarket rear bumpers that stick out farther than a stock-style bumper? if a diffuser box is built into the rear bumper and sticks out an extra 2 or 3 inches, do they measure from the end of the box, or from a theoretical pint somewhere that represents where the stock bumper would be?
It'd be nice to see a length rule based off of overall wheelbase from the wheelie bar wheel to the front wheels... that could help out the shorter cars keep up with the cars with longer wheelbases to begin with. Anyway, i'm getting off-track... lol.
