you just slip the clutch a bit and prevent the jaring affect Like when you just dump the clutch out. "less stress" on the the trans. Also helps fom breaking axles. With preloading It puts pressure on the drivetrain and eases the launch alot. Try it out and come back with some results and times. Its worked for me so far. I have yet to break a axle or tranny. "cross my fingers"

chris.

preloading = using the e-brake to hold the car still, ease the clutch out just enough till u feel the car start to move. when the lights go green release the clutch and e-brake at the same time and voila.

Gas pedal should be on the floor while your 2 step rev-limit starts to come in!!

us the blip, blip, slip method. Just start revving the motor between what ever rpm you want to be at(ex: between 6500-7000). as the last yellow lights up. start lettin out on the clutch and as the car starts to move, and load up the engine. floor it. It worked great on my Evo. My friends Sti get's consistant 1.6 60ft's with this method.

no, use the ebrake, and let go of it and the clutch when the light turns green.
