balancing clutch with gas pedal
still new to driving 5 speeds...i was wondering if theres a way to balance the clutch pedal with the gas pedal to make it its catch point...like most other 5 speeds i drove, it was balanced where my left and right foot were horizontal too each other and that was its catch point...right now in my civic, the catch point is when the clutch is almost out so the clutch and gas pedal is not close to each other...anyone know what i mean know an answer to this??

theres no exact way for us to tell you as it varies car to car... BUT, the best advice i can give you, is to keep practicing.
practice in your neighborhood at night... you'll eventually find it. you can try letting out the clutch w/o touching the gas petal, and when you hear the rpms drop, push the clutch back in, thats where your catch point is.

Re: (ekcivic9)
ek I dont believe you got the point of what he mean. I think he meant he wanted the clutch to release when the gas and clutch pedals were next to each other.
To my somewhat limited knowledge, I dont think this is possible to adjust it. Most ahve hydraulic free play adjusters, and if you mess with them you risk burning up your clutch because it either doesnt fully engage or disengage.
There is also a spring on the back of the pedal assembly i belive, but you could run into the same problem i stated above.
-aXhatch - I will try to talk to some people tmrw (honda master techs I work with) to see what they ahve to say, as I ahve only done a few clutches.
