well here's my story, i have a 99 civic gsr FI car that needed to be re tuned with my hondata s200 and the nearest tuner shop is about hour half way. So i decided to take the car to the shop and drop it off on a Monday (27 Aug) and was told the car would be done Tuesday morning, i had to get bigger injectors install with the resistor box and get the car re-tuned so two day sounded fair to me. well it is now 1 Sept four days and still no car and he still haven't even burn a chip or even ran a dyno run. There website clams that the're a vendor for Hondata so i assumed they knew what they were doing. Well come to fine out they don't even have Romeditor 4. There first excuse was that they couldn't get the laptop to talk to the ecu and then he said he finally did because the setting was not the right setting on the com1 or com2, next excuse was that is eprom was broken.So they had a buddy that would drop one off in the morning, so that happen and the erpom was the wrong one, it was not the usb it was the older model with the 25 pin and this was on Wednesday (29 Aug). So he order one over night and was suppose to get there no later then Friday, but im thinking they should be getting it on Thursday but whatever. So i called Friday and still they are still having issues with the program talking to there laptop he claiming that i should have got the Romeditor 4 with the S200 when i bought it, which is i didn't. So now i want my car back but now i cant drive it because he put the bigger injector in and im worried about him ******* up my car or burning my ecu or even the blue box. My question is if the shop does blow or burn anything who would be responsible? because i did sign a wavier saying that they did not build the motor and they hold no responsibility if something did go wrong. But the thing is that they clam to be a Honadata vendor on there website, so would that be a leg for me to stand on if something did happen?

yeah im thinking if he is not done with it on wednesday im going to go pick it up

 

i would get it retuned even if they do get it done.they dont sound like they know what there doing.

 

im thinking im just going to go pick it up when they open back up on Tuesday, and use the money and get an s300 and try to tune it myself, has anyone had experience with this unit? one more question would i be able to drive this car with the 780cc in since the car was tuned with 525cc?

 

so here is the lastest and greatest........i get a phone call from him today and he tells me that the car will be done thursday morning but he ran into a few like vacuum leaks here and there and he fix it. But he tells me he cant get the car pass nine psi which is bull **** because when i drove the car up there i was doing 12 psi, he then also told me that the car isnt making that much hp as it should he said im only doing like 175 to the fly wheel well when i got it tuned last which was in feb i was doing 312 whp how the hell did i drop so low. He also tell me that the other tunner didnt tune my car with hondata they used crome which is bull **** also because i watch the other tuner use rom4, so he tuned my car with crome which is not what i wanted and he did not ask me if i wanted crome, i think he just used crome because he didnt didnt have rom4 and did not want to buy it, but he said the hondata still works can that be true crome and honata work together??
So im pretty ******* **** one the car has been there for over a week two he did not tune my car with hondata and used crome instead and three that was a complete waste of time and money. other question is he said i might have a bad compression or the rings are bad but there is no smoke coming from teh tail pipe at all so can this be?? and i fell i should not pay for this stupid job so i hope he doesnt ask for money because he didnt do what i ask him to do.
