Default Weight Reduction

Hey, I've got a 94 GSR I'm starting to build. Just wondering what some of you guys have done to them as far as reducing the weight without stripping everything out. Planning to race NHRA so. Let me know what all i can do? PS is in, ABS still in, AC is gone. Trunk lining? I need to cut around 200 to 300 pounds off so. let me know!

some things on the top of my head, (without stripping any panels) are sound dententing material, cf/fiberglass hood, trunk, sunroof delete, stock gsr front upper and lower strut bars.

i took the plasma cutter and cut up my bumper supports, cut the door restraint bars out, took out the thick rubber mat on the firewall, no heater, no sound deadening stuff, removed rear wiper motor and all that, depends if you wanna have a comfortable daily driver or just want the lightest car you could get.

Some one told me if you remove the door restraint bars that when your hard on your car at the track like i will be that your doors tend to get out of line and start to losen up. dose it do anyhting to yours ( may car is fully drag so ill be running mine hard )

mine is ok, fitment is good and everything

since your is fully drag car, of course, there is the airbags, i even went as far as removing all the unneeded brackets on my motor and tranny, trimming up my motor mounts and brackets that are needed. you can also cut out the inner quarterpanels.

the bumper supports will be coming off. The FMIC won't fit without so. I heard the sound dententing material is only like, not even 20 lbs??? Airbags can go out, anyone know how much the weight is on those??? Anyone got any other suggestions?

Well i know that the sound deadening crap is pretty heavy way more than 20 pounds and in the 94 tegs there is a lot of that **** in there i did the gsr from the dash back and when we were done including getting rid of all the back panels sun roof out and pop riveted with thin plexi glass and just one seat it only weighed a hundred pounds more then my 90 hatch. so it was a good improvement and also times improved drastically.

20lbs here and 20lbs there add up fast. My accord 100% stock was 3050lbs. After doing my h22 swap and weight reduction it now sits at 2720.
