weigh the car first, strip the car- down to the a/c blower. then weigh it. let us know how much you lost...it depends if you want comfort or to go fast.

I hate to saying (I'm lying ) but if you search you can find much info on this. IIRC, there was a "Lose 75lbs DIY" thread (unsure on the lbs) within the last year. My bro just painted his whole car (works at body shop), and I'm trying to get him to weigh it before he puts the full interior back in. All it has now is the dash, headliner and driver's seat.

or you could always weigh piece by piece on like a home scale and decide part by part what you can do w/out and what you still want in there

i gutted my 92 hatch out. I guess it really depends on the person. Most people who sat on my car said it's noisy and everything, but i think it's totally fine. It's really up to you. To me it was worth it, other than sitting 2 people less at the back.

If you will be driving long distances then do not gut it completely. Unless you don't get annoyed very easily and wouldn't have a problem with your exhaust humming in your ear for hours at a time, then go for it.

For a DD, stripping it can sometimes be a bad idea.

It all depends on your priorities I suppose.

Hit the gym and take a dump before you race. Easiest way to reduce weight.
