actually do a burnout first to heat the tire than put a little under each tire and just spine the wheel 1-2 rotations and it sticks in. dont do a burnout after you put it on cause then you will burn it off..... oh.... and that **** makes a mess too
We use this stuff at the track...we buy it by the 55 gallon drum....in the morning we spray the whole track down with a drum that is hooked up to our sprayer on the tractor...then when someone leaks crap at the line and it needs cleaned up we have a mini sprayer to lay it down...If you buy some of this..wear gloves or you WILL regret it...I love the smell of it too bc its a one of a kind smell...reminds me of race day
haha gummy bears..I dunno about that...It does certainly have a sweet smell to it though..so I guess it could remind you of a lot of sugar loaded candies

I've seen people use this stuff on a street car to where they take the De-Icer sprayers (they spray de ice crap on the tires from a nozzle by a push of a button) and put VHT in em, then when u goto the races you have instant track prep. Although they had to clean it every few runs since it gums up the nozzles. But thats the price to play.
All the v8 guys at our 4 1/8mile Drag strips here local use this stuff. I used it on my hatch with bald firestones and pulled at 2.0 with basic mods. Very good product IMO and ill be using it on my new project.
lay the vht down, do a burn out, the **** makes your car hook. we use it on the street all the time for big races.

Im not sure if you mean if it is illegal for a driver to use it on his tires or if you mean that it is illegal for the track to use it.
I know its not illegal for the track to use it at all. Its used to prep tracks before a race everymorning though.
I dont know if you read any articles about last weeks race at moroso, but several Pro RWD drivers complained of tire shake going into second gear. An over prepped track will cause this which was probably the issue. I know this for a fact because we have tested the Pro Stock car on an over prepped track at Numidia Raceway(Outside of Bloomsburg), and we experienced tire shake shifting into second.

i have a friend that braket races and he used to convert the water sprayer for the windshield and route the nozzles to spray the tires after a burnout.it was illegal but he never got caught.he said it makes a huge difference.
We use the VHT traction combound at our track as well. Good stuff. I've never seen it used on the street...Im sure it would work. However, when you use the compund it usually takes a little while for it to set into the rubber. After we spray...for the first 10minutes its pretty slick. After that...man, the track will pull your shoes off your feet.
And another thing.....never use VHT to get your fireplace started!!! Don't ask how I know.
More flameable than gasoline!!
