i have the exact same problem as DOHCarp i cant hit 12's...setup is stock GSR motor with 273.5 whp and 204.2 tq. with M/T 24.5x8x13 on 13 inch lenso's 12psi tire pressure
I dont think i burned out long enough (2-4 secs)
My 1/4 mile slip says: (Two step was NOT used)

I1=2.229
I2=5.852
I3=8.847
Mph(I3)=84.170
I4=11.359
E.T.=13.495
MPH=106.738

My other 60 ft' was 2.019 with two step set to 5,200, but misshifted 2nd and 3rd gear and got a 14 sec pass. I think this should have been a 12 but i never tried it with two again since i got scared of hitting 14's again for some reason...any info would help

 

you dont know how to drive..on street tires my 60 ft is a 10th better than yours on slicks...

 

hell i hit 12s with 103 trap speed. hell yeah its there, can u do it??? i dunno.

1. Lower your tire pressure.
2. Doing a burnout too long can hurt traction.
3. 2 Step should be set way higher. Try a 7500rpm.
4. What springs and shocks are you running????

 

try launching at 6500-7000 with the slicks on, u should be getting 1.8 60 foots. 2.0-2.2 are terrible with slicks.

 

Yah it takes practice defently need practice on drag radials i can pull consistent 2.0 on slicks and that size you shoud be able to pull 1.8's My buddy w/ 20x8x14 pulled numerous 1.9's and thats what it took for him to hit 12's. Just keep practicing. Good luck

 

I'll practice a lot more when i get the chance thanks for the info....My suspension setup is GC coilovers and stock shocks.. ... should i just dump the clutch or feather it then dump it real quick?

u got the mph, work on launch and 60's definately, im runnin consitant 1.9's with 20x8x14 m/t but u can definately do it with practice. check my sig for the rest

 

i hit 12.9 @ 108......with 1.9 60'

when i had 2.0 60' i hit 13.1


same setup at 9lbs of boost on stock gsr motor with fmax + thick headgasket and same slicks are yours

The last drag car we set up pulled 1.6 60ft all day long. You NEED adjustable shocks and coilovers.

I'll look into getting shocks soon illuminas maybe....i am sick of the GC plus stock blown shock combo
