Two Step dynamics
Ok i have some questions about setting up a two step.
While on the two-step what things should be considered as far as fuel compensation and/or ignition timing?
Should i be retarding timing to accompany the 2 step?
Obvousily it will be retarded under boost anyways but should i advance/retard it further?
Im just kinda lost about being safe with it
I dont want to break **** with this

what are you going to do also? fuel cut or ignition cut?

backing up ignition timing?
Its ignition cut.
Im cutting power to the igntion coil at lets say 4k and turning it back on at 3900
the thing is i dont have a way to seperate maps while in 2 step, im using e-manage so its one map for the entire thing.
one ignition map and one fuel map.

if you are tuning it against map signal instead of throttle position u can just go to the load site where the motor goes to when the two step is working and back up ignition there (retard timing) its kind of a very cheeter and short cut way to do it, it will work and work good, but if your car passes through that load site while you are driving it then u might have problems cuz of the timing beeing so backed up. so u would have to check that...... english isnt my first language so if u need me 2 explain in more detail just im me whenever u see this screen name online and if i cant help u i'll at least tell you who to talk 2 theres alot of people on here with good knowledge.

yea thats what i meant, I can only use one map. So if i retard it, i Have to do it in the same map/setup as i drive it to work. So i will have to drive through the settings with the 2 step. My map is setup with MAP/RPM, not throttle
I guess theres not much i can do there.
So from what you said it will be possible to build more boost off of it with retarding the timing in increments on the 2 step
The only thing i think i will be able to do without hampering how the thing drives to work is just setup it only when im on the track, If i have the 2 step set at 4k I wont be seeing 4k while truckin down the track, so i can retard the timing all day long Under the RPM's I will even see going down the track.

well i mean are you sure u will be passing by those sites while driving to work??? u will probably only be able to make like 20 or so psi maybe less i realli cant tell u an exact number its been close to a year since i last messed with any of theese things. datalog your normal driving and normal street beating on the car and see what the highest psi at those rpm's are... then u'll know how much room you have to play around with the timing for the 2 step.
