True Street Car Race Poll
For some time ive been thinking about renting a track for a day to have a FWD
DOT Tire Shootout for Honda's only but i still have a lot of planning to do for it.
I'm gonna do a few polls on H-T to help me figure a few things out..ok here goes the first one.I wanna know what type of tire should be allow either a DOT Drag Radial such as the BFG,Nittos or Hoosiers or should the car's run a Real street tire that wont wear out in 5000 miles or less like a Yokahama AVS,Michelin Pilot,Dunlop 9000,Pirelli P-Zero etc etc.

A true street car will be on street tires, not some half *** treaded race gumballs.
If you wouldn't dare drive on a rainy night with them on, then they aren't street tires.

yes,i agree but its looking like more people favor drag radials by a long shot.
I figure with real regular street tires,the field of cars will be a lot closer,so anybody with mega HP wont run away with it,theyll just leave more rubber the whole 1/4.

allow street slicks "cheaters"
they are DOT aaproved... and some have a 15,000 mile treadwear... so its basically a street tire ...
now if they had wrinkle walls.. haha

I am begining to think you are running around disagreeing with me on purpose.
And I'm not even in ya'lls area, so I could care less. I'd let ya'll run whatever you wanted actually, but I wouldn't call it a street car challenge. That would be horribly inaccurate. There's always going to be SOMEONE who tries to bend the definition of a true street car to suit their purpose.

gotta allow radials, simply so eveyone wont have to hear the guy that lost say "well, uhh, if I coulda used my radials..."
