Here is the deal, I have a 95 LS Trans that is blown - gears fell out through a hole in the case? I have a 96 GSR Tranny but the bellhousing side of the tranny is bad and I think 3rd gear syncros are starting to go.

I need a new bell housing for it or a new tranny before I start upping the power I need to fix this.

Now I think a LS 5th gear is needed for me because my car does see the highway alot. so if my LS 5th is still good I can use that correct?
Okay now onto the case, I can get B16 trannys cheap. are these weaker then the GSR trannys or could I use the bell housing from one? What gears would I use out of the GSR Tranny and What ones from the B16, I do mostly 1/4mile racing. I am planning on buying a LSD aswell.
