a little info about ours...they weigh in at 11.0lbs and have a FOS (factor of safety) of 3.2. basically they are 3.2 times stronger than they need to be. also, the loads used during this parts analysis were much greater than most if not all street car situations...they were based on our HotRod / Pro 4 Cyl 2000 Civic Si .

screen shot of the FEA analysis on the traction bar

Thats what I like about full-race. Emphasis on engineering.

were these loads calculated or taken from a strain guage? Either way what force did you come up with?

Ok, so every traction bar has a horizontal bar and 2 other bars that go to the lower control arm. Lets compare the angles. Looks at this picture:

What are the different angles you guys are measuring for angle A and what brand?

they were calculated/analyzed for worst case scenarios...it's highly unlikely that a street car will even be subjected to these situations.

thats a typo, the ef and da bars have a FOS of 5. the eg, ek, and dc bars dont need to be as strong since there is a factory designed bar fastened to the control arm from the factory.

Angles? Anyone? Its not like its a big secret and you can't just go out and measure them. I'll post what MB's are after the weekend when I go out to my car.

Even if two brands have the same angles, do they have the same mounting point?

They should all mount at the same place on the lower control arm for the Civic's.

if you work at a place with the word "engineering" in the name, i hope you either ARE an engineer, or can consult with an engineer. The angle you want means nothing.

As do MB bars. I have them.

I asked for the angle for my own personal reasons. There are many different engineering fields, and some involve different things than statics and strength of materials.

well, fyi, in order to help you out and save a lot of time, that angle does not matter.
