That's the only way they will fit i think the design was for a B ser not H setup if we reveresed it it would have hit the oil pan. My 60ft with this setup is a 1.883.

what mounts are you using...that's probably your problem, it's not the bars. I'm using the same bars as you. My 60fts are 1.63-66's
