Toyoworks and TD Autowerkes' newest street car creation. 2jz Foxbody *BUILD THREAD*
Hello everybody. Toyoworks and TD Autowerkes are proud to introduce you to their latest collaboration. This thread will document the progress of this 1988 Ford Mustang coupe.
After the accident our friend, and Toyoworks owner, Josue (nos51) was involved in, we decided to jump back on our feet, dust our shoulders off, and get back to business. When we saw this roller for sale, we knew it was too good to pass up. We wanted to build an all-out RWD street car similar to the black Supra we built a while back.... only faster.
Once we had possession of the car it came straight home to the Toyoworks facility where we immediately got to work and began the teardown of the crashed foxbody and started the rebuild process. Many of the parts on this build were transplanted into this shell after being removed from the crash chassis and being rebuilt. A few of these components include the motor, transmission, rearend, and intake manifold as most of these components suffered from the impact when the car took a hard left at over 160mph and slammed head on into the wall.

Badass! Glad to see another fox body build to take the place of the old one!
Given how the setup ran in the last car, this thing should be a beast.
Dunno if you all considered it but there are some class racing rule advantages to running the 2j fox body in something like x275. Would be fun to see that happen if the car will 1/8th mile hard enough.

Absolutely loved the old car, killed me to watch the crash video, so glad to see new and improved car. Cant wait to see some new videos of this in action.

I have a 1992 LX that I am doing a Coyote/T56 swap on. I considered a 2JZ.
