Default Timing issues.....please help!!!!

I am having a problem setting my timing in my car. I am running Hondata s300, and MSD digital6 in the car and can't get the timing to set using the timing window in the Hondata, I even tried to do it oldschool by using the jumper and that didn't work. I changed distibutors, checked all the grounds. The only thing I changed in the car was relocating the battery and a new dizzy, can't understand because the car ran fine last year!!!
HELP!!!!!!!!!

What version of the software are you using. I had an old version one time that wouldn't allow it to work.

Yes, under the online menu, there is a feature that you can open called set timing, then you can make it stay steady at whatever timing you want.
I use an MSD Digital 7 and it works perfect with mine.

I've tried that a hundred times and thats what the problem is when I open up the window nothing happens the motor doesn't respond. I've taken the car to my mechanic who also uses Hondata and he used his laptop which works in his racecar and the same ting is happening

I have heard of this happening as well. If that doesn't work, hit them up on the Hondata forum. They are very helpful on there.

haha adam forgot to mention that IMPORTANT bit of information.

get one of those cables with the noise filter on it, should be good at that point. it worked just fine with the MSD previously. almost has to be with how he rewired it. msd also makes little noise filter things, could give that a shot

ok, small update, and a few clarifying points.

Last night we managed to get the Hondata to lock the timing in, and matched the distributor. The display works every time now, but for ***** and giggles I wanted to see if the timing lock would work again, and you hit the set timing button and nothing happens. This has got to be the strangest issue I've ever seen a car. with the display up, and hitting F10, at idle the timing is at 15-16 deg, and moves up freely when you rev the car. I think we're going to try and get the car out this weekend and make a soft pass, look at the logs and go from there.
