Default time slip help

60=1.832
330=4.953
1/8=7.21@105.72
1000=9.212
1/4=10.815@141.33

my quest thi summer was for mid to low 10's, but my 60' times kill me.

what could i expect with a 1.6 60'

i did manage a 10.4 with a 1.72 60" but still not in the 1.6 range like it should be

old rule is, a tenth off the bottom = 2 up top.

but thats not always true especially with our cars, as we really dont start applying the power til after we are moving.

my cars 9 sec pass had a 1.72 short time.

I was running some 2 season old tires (about 30 hits on them).. and i was cutting low 1.8s high 1.7s..

A friend gave me some tires that were fairly fresh (about 4-5 passes on them ) And on the first hit it went a 1.67 not changing anything in the way i drive.

Gearing is one thing to factor in. But i think having your car set up good and scaled helps..

i am (well was) on a 100% stock GSR trans with a ITR diff. And i have 12 slips on that tranny and 8 of them were 1.6s

gotcha

the 1.72 60' is my best and was my last pass as well before a rod bolt fell out and caused damage

my tuner had siad my rpms were falling back to far from 2 step to launch we went to medium cut from soft and thats when it got the 1.72 then i turned it up from 19psi to 22psi to see what it would do and well it didnt make it out the water box lol

You definately have more left in the car. Heres what my short times look like and i feel like my car still needs a good bit of work to get the 60 and 330 where i want it.

1.70 60ft
4.71 330ft
7.16 1/8th @ 99 mph
11.01 1/4 @ 130 mph
Car made 360whp on 16 psi this run was on 20psi, no boost by gear yet.

You wouldn't believe the short time you can pick up from scaling the vehicle at race trim with you in it. My cars breakdown is very close to yours with just a better 60ft. Gives you a great idea where you could be given the mph.
60ft 1.59
1/8th 6.78 at 105mph
1/4 10.29 at 141mph

makes my head hurt comparing your slip to his. lol

A large part of it is driver too. Forgot to mention that. (seat time and knowing your car is the only cure)

slow shifts and boost falling off then trying to make it up with power up top will do it to ya!

PS: That 1/8 mile ET is :thumbs up:

Thanks, the car is only making around 5-550hp on a 61mm but the powerband is nice and fat. Car also only weighs 1850ish with me in it, lol.

You just need to find a shop that can corner balance your car. Get the car exactly how you would have it at the track and with you in it down to the fuel being where you would have it etc. The shop will put a scale under each one of your wheels. The scales will tell you how much weight is on each tire and your total weight. The idea is to spread the weight evenly onto your front tires to help with traction. We also moved a good bit of weight forward onto the front tires as well depending on the vehicles purpose. They will adjust the weight via your coilovers. Once its done, if your car has never been scaled I would expect nothing less then a tenth off your 60fts. Thats if everything else is in order. For the money most places will charge its well worth it.

Sad part is this year I haven't made it back to the track because of my business. First year I have had a car setting freshly done and not get to race it. I haven't even started to play with the Ectune options yet, lol.

How much boost or power are you running in first gear? Are you datalogging each pass?

I made 550 on 15psi and 630 on 23psi and here are my short track times. The car hasn't even seen 23psi at the track yet. This is launching at 6500rpm with no antilag setup it leaves the line building around 8psi.

60ft. 1.65
330 4.30
1/8 6.520 @ 114

boost by gear through hondata
15psi in first but timing is backed off a couple degrees to calm it down
19psi in second gear
21psi in third

Too much power can hurt especially on our cars. keep the power low at first. dial it in off the wastegate then start turning power up little by little.

oh boi , what fun!!

light car and responsive sc61 FTW!!

In the first pass you were slow on the 1-2 shift and it was still in the powerband spinning.
