Thanks to NHRA!
I just wanted to come here and say "Thank You" to NHRA Sport Compact for a great race this weekend. You guys had awesome promotions, great spectator turn-out and an over-all well organized race. I, and all of Team Bergenholtz, hope this race went well for you guys. Although we had a really tough weekend, we can't wait to get to Florida to show what we are capable of at the next NHRA event. Thanks again and keep the fans coming. It feels good to race in front of a crowd.

What's amazing is that NDRA was there last year and did not have any type of turnout at all. Then you havew NHRA there and they have a large turnout. Hmmmmmmmm, I wonder who is really at fault for the turnout at Califonia Fontana events. "Oh we don't need to do California events"...........NDRA

Well let me commend the NHRA guys for doing a good job with the event in Fontana. We are glad to see that the year has started off great for the sport compact racing scene. Hopefully this means that all bodies involved will enjoy tremendous growth. Also, congratulations to those guys that won, and to those who were able to qualify. Everyone here at the NDRA are glad to know that Leslie and family are doing well after this weekend, and know that she will be back stronger than ever.
On a side note, Ron, where should I have the dead horse delivered so You can continue to beat it?

Ron is just repeating the fact that NDRA ignores the California market. ( or does not know how to target it? ) This is not a bash, but we are justifying the numbers that a CA event can pull when advertised correctly. If NHRA had only 400 people in the stands, we would have bitched at them for that as well. We are Professional race teams that need the people in the stands so we can continue to grow our sport and to create revenue for our sponsors. No-one wants to sponsor a car if only a hand full of people see it! and in this sport, we are rooting for the big turnouts. NHRA, NDRA and the other sanctioning bodies have to realize the frustration that comes with trying to sell a team in this sport when we cannot justify a decent budget due to poor attendance records at the events. We also cannot B.S. the sponsors with false numbers as they can easily be at the events and see for themselves. We back sanctioning bodies that work for the teams. That is all Ron was trying to get across.

Vince, like we said before. Our event did not go as planned, shame on us. But before You and Ron spout off about sanctioning bodies caring about racers, You had better get all of Your info together. We always try and take care of our racers, ask any of them that race more than 1 event with us, or should I say come to 1 event and watch.

Glenn, I am not spouting off at the mouth, sir. But you must realize that I do not talk blindly about info. Yes, you give special attention to racers and have a good rapport with everyone we have spoken with, but we consider the attendance number a special part of our bias from one sanctioning body to the next. I told you that I am not in the business of bashing, I have attended NDRA events in the past ( with a different team ) and have to say that I, and this is my personal opinion, like NHRA. If you still don't like what I have to say, then please stop posting in the thread that I started for NHRA.
I posted because someone pointed out to me what Your buddy Ron was saying. Now back to what You are saying. We all know that some people like differant things, that is what makes the world go around. But, I do not get on here (like Ron and others do to us) and bash the NHRA. But, no matter what You and Ron and others say, we are obviously doing our job right, and will continue to do that. So, like eveyones parents said when they were growing up "if You don't have anything good to say, don't say anything".
Not to continue this deadend conversation, but you are from the NDRA, Ron is not from NHRA and you would NEVER see ANYONE from NHRA come on here to bash against a person that didn't like them. Take your own advice, don't reply to what we have to say!!!
Is the greater attendance from the first event a direct result of less total events this year since NDRA has pulled out. Maybe with NDRA's 2/3/4 races in addition to NHRA, IDRC, and BOTI, that last year there was less spectators per race, but a greater number over all?
Hey Vince, I am not bashing anyone. Please do not think I am bashing You or Ron. I am just stating that some of the negativity towards the NDRA seems to come from that camp. We would like to have You guys at some of races, but that is not on me. Obviously You will steer those guys away, and miss a chance at the $10,000.00 purse for the first fwd to go 7's. So in closing, I guess we can agree to dis-agree. Sorry to hi-jack Your post, just needed to express some stuff.
Congratulations to the NHRA on a good event

at least NDRA cares enough to even have a street all motor class. where is NHRA on that one? and now a points series for street cars. that is bad ***. keep up the good work NDRA.

I bet you would have been more inclined to keep a street class car if there would have been more options. As far as midwest goes...pickins' are slim for events.

huh? thats not what you were "simply" saying. you started out saying that... and then you took a cheap shot at the NDRA saying they were the reason they dont have a good market in cali, you woulda just stuck to your original plan and silenced your man toy, Ron then you woulda been straight.
