Re: T1 teg sold...
the GTR craze will die when us hondas guys realize that we sold everything and cant even afford a 700hp package let alone a 900-1000 plus the extra 10k in supporting mods...GTRS are still big money and now that alot of shops r huffing out 1000hp and finding out the OEM blocks r blowing up from here to Jupiter and everything else thats goes with it......
maybe a used gallardo is the way to go if your gonna toss 150k+ plus at something

umm the longblocks arnt blowing up at 1000awhp, they are blowing up in the 1400+awhp. Big difference.
Most honda guys cant afford a GTR, get over it. Just the way it is. Thats why most dont have one. You work on your hondas because its cheaper and in your budget range of what you can afford. That doesnt mean there isnt equally or even bigger of a crowd that can afford to buy and full on build a GTR. The people that can buy them....buy them...Period.
Tony just likes sharing and its awesome to see what they are doing with the GTR's along with all the other companies doing so. They push the limits, and stuff breaks, but then the limits get extended with new parts. Its called R&D. You seem to really have no clue how a business operates do you?
If the GTR's were just a craze/hype/fad there wouldnt be as many people modifying them and pushing the limits on them. Everyone thought the whole Honda scene/support/whatever was a big fad/craze too. But when your passionate about something and love doing it, you will keep going. The GTR isnt going anywhere.

your block info is fubar, some of them arent even lasting after getting sleeved. but no worries AMS has it figured out for probably 20k with their new CnC bling block. most honda guys can afford a gtr but choose not too....i have seen them in the upper 50s already and a few guys have sold their cars and got right into a GTR. after a lifetime of honda modding and constantly wrenching on something a STOCK GTR seems like a dream. we are all not 20 anymore. as for RnD common sense tells you that every piece of a car sooner or later is gonna need to be upgraded. toodles

Actually the ecu sold with the map on it from when it went 8.32. No secrets, the new owner will see that there's nothing in there that I haven't shared with many.

Re: T1 teg sold...
It's a bit of a generalization that "Honda" guys are not able to afford a GTR, it's merely preference. I'm certain there are hardcore Ford guys out there that can afford practically any exotic but still wouldn't be caught dead in anything but a Fox because that's just what they like.
Admittingly, I love my car, I love Honda and I love FWD drag racing but if someone approached me with an 8 second Civic and an 8 second GTR, I'm likely to take the GTR for practical reasons.

Re: T1 teg sold...
****, now you tell me I can't afford a GTR.. I'll cancel my order today.
Oh wait, I already spent that spare change on Honda parts anyway.
The smoke went with the old motor, the mirrors are another story..

Yea tony has great customer support service especially if you have Motec, when you buy his products he has nothing to hide and is willing to send you his maps and setup to get you going with your car. Sad to see the car go!
