Not sure if anyone mention, but if you know anyone that can weld aluminum you can have the hole filled in and have a good machinist re-drill the block and resurface it as well. Timesert are good but are a little pricey.

for a piece of mind it don't heart but i don't see the need when like i said eggun ran the standard ones in the 7s I'm sure she was at 50psi or more with no problems

that is in no way something anyone should try ever. 1st it would be almost imposable to get weld that deep in the block if not imposable. 2nd that much heat on the block would defiantly warp your block and you would need to have it decked and line bored after if you did attempt it and sorry that would cost more then just having it fixed right the first time with a timesert. please do not post bad info like this its a wast of everyones time and can cost someone lots of money trying to do something thats not going to work

I agree with Robert, Don't weld the block. Listen to a guy who works for one of the top machine/sleeve shops. Timecert the block or that particular hole, you will never have issues again.

Another question? Why did you switch from a ge head stud to a arp??
