Re: (Boostfed.com)
No, it is not the same. Dog shift tranny uses all stock shifting internals. You shift like stock gearbox but clutchless. Straight shift gearbox is to move the shifter only forward for up shift or backward for down shift and you do it clutchless.
We can make the box with 4 or 5 very strong gears ( i do not know hom much gears are best for drag car) and to be able to do 160mph on 4 gear.
This box on pics is 6 speeds forward for track car. All the gears in it are 3KG lighter than in stock box gears. It is much stronger.

Re: (vtecmissle)
Yes it is in stock case. The gear tooths are different and that changes the force. That allow housing to take a lot of power.

Sorry just reminded me of something.
Do you have any better picks of the shifter assembly?

Re: (PARADOX_sf)
Wow... that easy of a fix huh?
Lighter gears = much stronger
Gear tooths are different = allowing housing to take a lot of power
C'mon man, this is the Drag Racing forum so where is proof of performance?

Hmmmm, I'm going to have to go with 'choose' number 1. 4 bitchs doesn't come along very often.

So why are you avoiding the question here? This post is worthless without the gears in a running car. Where is it?

Looks like a very professional operation, with pliers around, oil/grease/dirt all over, and the gearset sitting on what looks to be an exposed aggregate driveway. Nice engineeirng clean room you have there.

Re: Straight shift with clutchless shifting gearbox for B, D, H, K series? (nonvtecallmotor)
yeah im confused on these gears switch? Information is gooooodd
as far as the clean room comment, thats just being over analytical of an operation. Its like this guy i know, his father like to say, "a grain of sand can lock up a motor". Yeah, bullshit. Im sure theres all sorts of operations that are well known that started with jack **** for a facility.
I think the lack of information on the shifting mechanics and gear materials etc. are really bothering everyone. For all we know you have the best thing coming for us or the bottom end of the aftermarket transmission market.

Has it ever been in a car before and actually shifted and transfered gears?
