That is a good idea, it would prove who has the fastest street car, rather than prove who has the fastest car built to run in a street class. I think jason and ballard have awesome cars, but i also know pickle drives the **** out of his. I think this offer is open to everyone?? Right Pickle??

Well, i wish i could say the same that i'm free, but i'm not..First of all i work..secondly, mason dixson isnt open on thurdays so will set up a date...and i hope you aint taking this the wrong way at all..there's know hard feelings on this end at all...I think it will be fun..and trying is the only thing i have left, considering this is my first year ever drag racing..

Well from what I have heard from a bird in a tree is that absolutely nothing happened to the car and that Jen just lost control of car. I find that hard to believe. Jen can drive...period.

I can't wait for this new "class" killer to come out. You guys couldn't even get a pro car down the track on 28s and wheelie bars and expect to get a car w/o bars down the track with 800+ HP....good luck, as you can see it didn't go as planned your first weekend out.

How am I supposed to take it? Sounded like you were and are calling us out. Cool Fri night then..I have a couple of jobs but will gladly make time for this!. You act like we haven't been around this for very long..we do have a clue about spools, and how cars are with them... And parallel parking will definately be included in the fun and games. After all it is a street car

Brian there's nothing but love from here man...you helped me that day at the track with an alternator belt, which i'm thankful for..but i'm not howard..that's not my company..just a shop and group of friends that i had build my car..keep it fun, in no means am I saying i who's gonna win, i'd just like to see results..

And i never once doubted jen or questioned her driving..I have made one of the nicest friends that has even taught me things this year..If i would have ever doubted her driving, i would have not thrown her the keys at VMP..

I will trailer my car to monasas and we both unload???? mmmm if it's a street car why would you need to trailer it??? second if you come out west and you want to do that bet let me know. your car VS the car we have. long beach to palmdale is a nice ride mines the stop and go traffic for 4 hours..

and back on the subject i myself would never put a spool on my street car and would not want to race next to someone that has one!!

Hey its ok. But after reading this whole thread, I didn't see anyone on here questioning or doubting that your car was or wasn't streetable. People just brought up saftey issues at the track. I've seen a sfwd w/ a spool cross over the lane and almost hit the other guy and it wasn't because the axle was busted, it was due to different tire pressure. It can also happen to a lsd, but its a hell of alot easier to correct if it happens.
Good luck this season though.

 

i would love to see that race cause i know Jason cars are very street-able. i haven't been doing this racing stuff long (still in powerstreet)and i now that was a broke axle. there is no way she just lost control and almost went 90 degrees straight across the track. i wouldn't not feel remotely comfortable with a spool in my street car. if a axle some how break will driving in traffic just think how many people you are putting at risk.

there was no axle broke.. i saw the car torn down also , u obviously never seen a high Hp car get out of the groove and try getting it back in, all the while hammering the next gear.....I gota say jenn is fearless and a hell of a drive , but **** happens even to the best of us

 

I have been around some HIGH horse power cars,for a few years, and seen them get out of the groove, and get down the track. (jason did just fine this past race at e-town and he was 2 feet out of the groove)
What I do know is that when a car makes a violent turn(look at Nelsons accident last year in TX) it's usually some kind of mechanical issue.
Good it didn't break an axle, maybe you don't know what happened, maybe it popped out again? probably will never know.
I do know no part is unbreakable I don't care how much you pay for it.
Fact is certain parts make cars safer when things break, A spool is NOT one of them.

That's a nice offer on the table for those that wanna change out there spools..I still feel i wanna ride this one out though..Who knows, i might have seconds doubts in the future if i do break..I may change out to a quaife..but my feeling is that the axel is under most shock off the line..definitley inside the 330..not saying it could not occur on the backside, but the odds are slim..

Some people might look at it as why even have that hesitation to get into the car if you know something could break and cost you your life...but in my eyes, other things besides axels breaking could cause just as great of accident..

Lets hope noone here has to face a day at the track like that..

THANK YOU! This is exactly what it boiles down to there are T4 cars making the same power as P4 cars. It is the driver/owners choice. Our Pro 4 car has a spool, and oh yeah the T4 car the driver had before the P4 car, had a spool in it as well 3 yrs ago. Yes it was hard to drive in the pits but you don't race in the pits anyways. SHE handled it just fine. Never remember her putting it into the wall. It sounds like this horse is dead as hell why kick it any more. If you want a spool run it, if you want a quaife go see charlie and get one installed, He will do it right.

Hey Charlie I will be up there tomorrow with 10 trannies that need to get done Man I could see you getting very very very busy! OOPS I just reread I don't have a spool though, I have a Quaife that I got back in 1998 that was in my 2nd Gen Teg then swapped to my B16A tranny. Quaife

 

I hope your P4 car has more horsepower than our T4 cars
